Members of The Vaults can bask in the ambiance of cracklings fires and the smell of leather as they enjoy any of the variety of specially-bottled, cask-strength, single-cask whiskeys available.
Toronto Temperance Society
The ironically named Toronto Temperance Society offers its members perhaps the best selection of spirits to be found in a single establishment in Canada. They serve bottles of the rare and famous Buffalo Trace Antique and Experimental collections and offerings of exotic single malts from Japan and Taiwan.
Members of this elegant bar are expected to follow certain rules of decorum while inside, including banning the use of cell phones at the bar and men approaching women without an invitation.
This members-only bar in Singapore offers the chance for people to acquire one of two types of membership. “Privilege” is open to both men and women allows free entry before midnight and discounts on bottle service. You can find this exclusive and strict member’s only bar in the heart of Rome, Italy. Members have a lot of rules to follow here – no flash photography, guests of members are not allowed, the bartender has the last word on drinks, etc – but they’re well worth following.
The bar was modeled after a Prohibition-era speakeasy and specializes in serving classic drinks from that time. Members are expected to know the current password before they’re allowed entry, so don’t expect to just walk into the Jerry Thomas Project.
